Why You Should Hang Out Inside Your Own Head

With meditation apps and practices proliferating like rabbits, we wanted you to know what’s up over here at Lotimus. You may have wondered, Why another practice? What’s unique about this one? What does it really offer?

What Sadhguru Knows

Sadhguru is a renowned Indian yogi, mystic, and the founder of the Isha Yoga Center in southern India. There’s a story he tells about how, one day, a traveler asked a young boy from a local village how far it was to Sadhguru’s Yoga Center. The boy replied that it was 24,996 miles. The traveler was aghast. “What?” he said. “That far?” And the boy said, “Yes, the way you’re going. But if you turn around, it’s just four miles.” Sadhguru points out that the outward journey can be endless, but the inward journey always unfolds in “one moment.” According to him, “when it comes to our inner nature, there is only one governing principle: borderless unity.”

And that’s really the point of a Lotimus mind journey. The recordings are meant to carry you inward, where it’s always the timeless Now, where the terrain knows no boundaries, and where you can journey, strategize, and play to your heart’s content, maybe even re-discovering yourself in the process.

The Benefits of Going Inward

The benefits of an imaginal journeying practice are many. You can part the curtain of noise and step into the Quiet. You can reconnect with your body in ways that might surprise you, becoming familiar with your inner spaces and the senses that activate them. But perhaps most important, you can re-inhabit your imagination, which is the seat of ideas, of deep play, of big colors and waking dreams and versions of you that might delight and surprise you.

But Is It Really Meditative?

You decide. Take a pause, start journeying, and find out!
